Where everyone has a voice

During the interview process I came to work for Fusion for a day, to start they had me working on a mock project, something easy to see how I worked and that I would be a good fit for the team.

Half way through the day Brent declared I’d proven myself and could start brainstorming about potential creative directions for a campaign that Fusion had coming up. I guess that was enough to give 22 year old Natasha some confidence about her place in the company, as the team and I were saying our goodbyes I heard a “It was nice to meet you!” and I replied “I’ll be back!”. Turned out, I was right!

“I’m very thankful that I get to work on a team of people I can call my friends.”

One of my favourite parts of being a part of this team is that you never know where the great ideas will come from. When I started as a junior designer right out of school I wasn’t made to feel like I was at my first job, with almost no idea of how the “real” world works. Instead, everyone listened to my ideas and together as a team we worked through the projects to come up with the best solutions that worked for our clients.

It’s been almost 7 years, and this is still how we tackle every day. What makes working here so special isn’t just the inside jokes or the cool clients and projects we get to work on. It’s that you can log into your computer each day and know no matter what, there’s a team of people ready to come together to create the best work. I’m very thankful that I get to work on a team of people I can call my friends. People who are happy to help each other each day, share stories of their highs and lows, and help each other grow into better co-workers and people.
